Vision for Harringay - a start

This site supports the development and enacting of a vision for a better Harringay. Our Spring 2008 Residents' Survey focussed on some of the key issues. Find out more about the survey & the issues with the links below.

How To Sign Up - for those less used to the internet

If you think this site could be useful, please register. It's quick and free. Joining will not expose you to any spam or advertising. You can completely control how much email you get from us or opt out from mailings completely. The aim of asking interested people to register is nothing sinister; it's a little irksome I know, but experience elsewhere has shown that an interactive site without registration leaves the door open to spammers and other more yeucky abuse. So I hope you feel a short registration is a small price to pay. If you want to join but remain anonymous - at sign-up you can choose to anonymise your name. You do not need to divulge any info you feel uncomfortable with. Your email address is never displayed.

Once you've joined, you can download a document on how this site works and what it contains from the "How to Use this Site" group.

And if this site doesn't work out for you, deleting your membership is easy.

TO JOIN:-

  • Click on "Sign Up"
  • Enter a name in "Name" - Choose a name that you want displayed. It can be your first name or something else - you decide.
  • Enter your normal e-mail address. (This won't be displayed on the site).
  • Make up a password and enter it in both the "Password" and "Confirm Password" boxes - write it down so you don't forget it.
  • Enter the characters shown in the box, making sure you match the text exactly, including upper case and lower case. This is to prevent automated sign-ups by advertisers.
  • Add a photo if you want to - or skip this step.
  • Click on "Done" and you're in!!
  • If you have any probelms signing up, go to Ning Help Page.

NOTE FOR SAFARI USERS: There is occasionally an issue affecting Safari users who have their browsers set at at a certain size. This issue prevents the "Done" button from showing. Ning offer a help page with a simple fix. Go to Help Page.

Who's Online

Who's Online has sadly been discontinued by the folks who make it. They've replaced it with another tool which currently doesn't seem to be working. So I'm afraid we'll have to do without for now.
